چکیده
The paper investigates and explains a new simple analytical tuning of proportional-integrative-derivative (PID) controllers. In combination with nth order series binomial low-pass filters, they are to be applied the double-integrator-plus-dead-time (DIPDT) plant models. With respect use derivatives, it should understood that design appropriate filters is not only an implementation problem. Rather, also critical for resulting performance, robustness noise attenuation. To simplify controller commissioning, integrated procedures (ITPs) based on three different concepts filter delay equivalences presented. For simultaneous determination + parameters, uses multiple real dominant poles method. excellent control loop performance in noisy environment specific advantages disadvantages discussed. results show none them globally optimal. Each advantageous certain levels desired degree their filtering.

Simple Tuning Rules of PID Controllers for Integrator/Dead time Processes
In this paper, simple rules for tuning PID controllers for integrator/dead time processes are proposed. These rules are derived by the optimization of a discrete-time error integral criterion called the switch time weighted summation of squared error (SWSSE) criterion. In this criterion, the first M samples of the transient response are weighted by 1, while the remaining samples until the end o...
متن کاملA Unified IMC based PI/PID Controller Tuning Approach for Time Delay Processes
This paper proposes a new PI/PID controller tuning method within filtered Smith predictor (FSP) configuration in order to deal with various types of time delay processes including stable, unstable and integrating delay dominant and slow dynamic processes. The proposed PI/PID controller is designed based on the IMC principle and is tuned using a new constraint and without requiring any approxima...
متن کاملDesign of Pid Controllers Integrator System with Time Delay and Double Integrating Processes
In this paper first we investigate optimal PID control of a double integrating plus delay process and compare with the SIMC rules. What makes the double integrating process special is that derivative action is actually necessary for stabilization. In control, there is generally a trade-off between performance and robustness, so there does not exist a single optimal controller. However, for a gi...
متن کاملAnalytical approach to tuning of model predictive control for first-order plus dead time models
Model predictive control (MPC) is an effective control strategy in the presence of system constraints. The successful implementation of MPC in practical applications requires appropriate tuning of the controller parameters. An analytical tuning strategy for MPC of first-order plus dead time (FOPDT) systems is presented when the constraints are inactive. The available tuning methods are generall...
متن کاملOn Tuning PI Controllers for Integrating Plus Time Delay Systems
Some analytical results concerning PI controller tuning based on integrator plus time delay models are worked out and presented. A method for obtaining PI controller parameters, Kp = α kτ , and, Ti = βτ , which ensures a given prescribed maximum time delay error, dτmax, to time delay, τ , ratio parameter δ = dτmax τ , is presented. The corner stone in this method, is a method product parameter,...
